As per the Mumbai court verdict on June 13, Suraj Pancholi was sent to jail till June 27 on charges of abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide (under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code). Suraj had applied for bail and the court had on June 14 adjourned his bail hearing until June 21. The son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab was arrested on June 10 after a six-page suicide note was recovered from the late actor’s residence which reportedly blamed the aspiring actor for their turbulent relationship.
The authenticity of the suicide note and five other letters that were found from Suraj’s residence are still being examined. Watch this space for updates on this case.
