There have been numerous reports about Shahrukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan having a baby through surrogacy. However, the couple is now under the line of fire as reports about their third child being a baby boy has miffed the Indian Radiological and Imaging Associations (IRIA) since pre-birth sex determination is illegal in India.
Apparently, a written petition has been sent to the state health department to investigate the case and find out if SRK and Gauri are guilty of pre-birth sex determination. IRIA has also asked state health department officials, including state health minister Suresh Shetty to take action against those concerned, if found guilty. Conducting sex determination outside the country is legal but in India it’s a punishable act. While the officials are investigating the case, SRK and Gauri are yet to respond to the reports
