Ekta Kapoor, Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor’s homes and offices were raided by the IT department early on Tuesday morning for allegedly defaulting on taxes
The Income Tax department early on Tuesday morning raided the offices of Balaji Telefilms including the homes of its Joint Managing Directors Ekta Kapoor and her father Jeetendra. Reportedly, the powerhouse studio came under the scanner because Ekta’s company defaulted on payment of taxes.
More than 100 officers allegedly stormed Ekta’s homes and offices. Some sources say her younger brother actor Tusshar Kapoor’s home was also raided. Balaji Telefilms, one of the biggest producers of TV shows, have also produced more than 25 movies including blockbusters like The Dirty Picture,Ragini MMS and Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Their latest film Shootout At Wadala which also stars Tusshar releases in a few days on May 3.
